+3' top of pod- clay unit NEW UNIT 6L+3 Interbedded of yel i mar stained & mottled. med. gr. ss limonite stained/mottled w/ lt. gray silty clay interbeds & concret. lim. cemented [illegible] crusts 7L same as new unit at 6L+3' maroon st. most prevalent in lower 2-3' above that lt. gr. silts & yellow sands w/ cemented crusts 8L same as at 7L - but no maroon 9L continues as at 7, but no maroon; crust disappears above 8L +3'1/2' top of bluff 9L+1'1/2' soil & residual 9L ~30' offset S. side of prow 9L-8'2' excavation some unit above maroon bands. yellow & yl. gray stained very fine ss. & ldv. silts in 4" irregular interbeds w/ concret lim. concret [illegible] assoc w/ SS. 8L 7L Same unit w/ more limonite - no maroon ~6'3'1/2- maroon mottling; contact at 6L+8" 6L 2' above contact very heavy lim. impreg. ss - 6'+8"-> 6L+2'(8")
