20 June New nesthere: After seeing a bird looking out of
the lower hole in the 1982 nest tree on 17 June,
I climb up today + find 5 eggs, ~5 days old.
Curiously, all 5 eggs were very similar in shape.
Suggested F604: Did 9711 fail to lay? See
nest record
19 July Banded 3 healthy young, Juvs. 936-938.
See caprecs.
Hay Blom ABANDONED fall 1983. In mid
September, during the acorn survey, I recall seeing
two birds (including one juvenile) in the granary. Abandonment
probably occurred after that.
