Birds were gone for good 12 Oct 1983

0910, a ♂NB gives 4 garricks right at the summit of haystack.
The at 0925, I spot a second ♂NB (Sohn ♂♀ in sight at
one time) poking around in the gra-ary. This latter ♀
later flew off to the fo-celie tree. These two ♀♀ are
clearly not a unit. In fact, both seemed to be operating
alone, without ♂♂. The second ♀ seems to be pretty
much in residence here, but solo.
27 March 1220, First watch after installation of artificial gra-ary
and acorns on 25 March. 1245, No evidence of
any birds around, and no evidence that anybody's
been eating the acorns. Perhaps the ♂NB of 23 March
was an early visitor.
5 April Saw the Low Hay Birds fly over here (♂571 + ♂NB) and
Find still 75 acorns in the "gra-ary"
