1984 R.L. Mummt Acorn Woodpecker Plague (9 March) **GROUP UPDATE** (continued) ♂660 first seen back at Plague 20 July, but absent 21-22 July. Present 5 October. ④ ♂721, ♂723, ♂660 disappeared 30 Dec 1983 ±2 weeks Last seen 30 Nov (but at least two were around 14 Dec, all gone 15 Jan). ⑤ ♀752 moved to Plague 6 March 1984 ±2 days First seen 3 March, well established 6 March + 9 March. 7 April Watched here yesterday, saw ♂521 + ♀752. Today (1345) F hear a lot of wakus + find ♂521, ♀752, and ♂723 D6--BpNk(w)/Lpi-kt. A bit of aggression from ♂521 (saw 521 pock 723 once) but it looks like he will be accepted. ♀752 seems happy to see 723. Don't know if ♂721 (who was with ♂723 2 weeks ago at Low Hay) will return, too. 13 April Yes, 1130 F walk outside the lab + find ♂721 Yellow/L6m-yellow, along with ♀752 and ♂521. Did not see ♂723, however. 19 April After adding Styrofoam + 100 Acorns on 14 April, F find 60 acorns remaining in the styrofoam at 1200 20-21 April Granary watches here reveals ① ♂660 is back (seen 20 April, but absent on 21 April. He seemed very displeased with ♀752 for some unknown reason.) ② 21 April, ♂721 chasing ♀752 around, denying her easy access to the granary. Hard to see why ♂660 + 721 should be so displeased.
