9 Oct Watching here, 0905: 1030. Nothing, no birds,
and no acorns stored. Lambert seems to have
been abandoned as a result of the crash.
6 Dec Watching here 1110, after Susan and I have placed
~1500 acorns in the granary. All but ~50 were
put into the fallen "main" granary. About 50
were put into the "south" fe-celine Valley Oak (82 nest
tree) ~1100 of the acorns were collected
by Susan from Chews Ridge (mostly small Valley Oak,
Live Oak + a few Black Oak + Golden Oak). About 400
all
were some dry, hard acorns Fcollected (mostly Valley
Oak + Live oak, about 50-50) in 1982 and had
been dried, then sitting in a bag in my office.
1210. No action here yet. Lots of Scrub Jays flying
around (many carrying acorns) but none yet have visited
the granary.
