1983 R.C. Numme M. formicivorus MacFlat 18May MacFlat has nested! After flushing a bird out of a road- facing hole in the roadside sycamore (see map back of P.1) I climb up, open the hole and find 4eggs, ~6days along. This would put hatching at ~24 May, buring~14June 14June Banded 4 nestlings here, 1800; Juvs 902-905. Juv 902+903 seemed pretty healthy, Juv 904 was OK x J905 was quite rusty & underdeveloped. See caprecs, 29June ** GROUP UPDATE ** ① FNB, ♂282, ♂540 founded MacFlat (NEW GROUP) ~24 Dec 1982 ± 2weeks (See Finch notes) 4Aug Here in the late afternoon, I find a couple of birds sapsucking from a Live Oak overhanging the road. They prove to be ♂540 D6rn / Lpink and a Juvenile, whose bands I read as m / Dblue-white. Unfortunately, it shouldn't be any of the MacFlat babies, unless I screwed up in boding J904 M/red-white, screwed up recording it on the field list, screwed up reading the bands, or something.
