Definitely gone from Finch by 10 Jan
9July 1500 Strange happenings here. On the way up to Road 1
am, distracted by calling juveniles, I find that, like Plaque,
Finch seems to be in the process of adopting juveniles.
One banded juvenile
grandchild of Finch from MacFlat, so that is similar to
the stay at Plague. However there are at least two
(perhaps 3 or more) unbanded juveniles as well. At
first I was afraid that I had missed a nest, and that
JuvUB's were Finch offspring. However, they were being
chased + pecked fairly vigorously by Finch adults (similar
to the way the Plague adults treated the Pipeline
juvenile) and never saw any adults feed the juveniles.
I also got the impression that the MacFlat baby was being
treated more equitably than the unbandeds, further suggesting
that the unbanded were not Finch offspring. Anyway, this
situation bears further watching. 63, 66b, 541, 542,
543, 613, 616 all seen well,
