7/17/85 Camp day in morning Last interview w/ Harry Thurston Bid adieu to Kirk who was Given bed rest in Resolute for a strained back. Helicopter PSW arrived at 1:10 pm and we took off it about 1:30 Picked up Lisa on her "Marie View" section on NW nose of Syncline Checked out Mbr III - IV transition on nose of syncline and found that we could get from III into basal IV w/ magnetic section Then we flew to Troilson Peninsula and checked out Mbr II and III there. Mbr II looks good w/ many mudstones giving excellent prospect for magnetics. looked at Mbr II - III transition on the cliffs of the south shore and found this not so good for magnetics though not hopeless. Then flew back to camp Dave x Greg had trouble w/ the mopeds. So we had a late dinner 10:44 and so to bed.
