SS interbeds n 6" thick 5 0.5 tan siltstone and fissile grayish brown shale in 1-2" interbeds 6 1.0 siltstone tan and brownish gray mudstone 1/4 to 3/4 inch beds photo 6 - solification has bent the beds giving the appearance of cross bedding 7 1.4 1/8-1/4" varve / siltstone (tan) with ferrugeneus yellow-brown mudstone, & varve becoming thicker and thinner irregularly above 0.8 with siltstone units thickening to 1 inch above this point Pollen sample 857d Unit 8 1.6 has become = 1/2-1 inch bedded grayish vfg a-sa ss w/ mudstone laminae Above 1 shovel handle, the unit is all siltstone top of section in gravel beds.
