1982 R.C. Munne 4 Melanerpes formicivorus Knoll Set 23 April Well, Knoll set appears to be a defunct group. ♂564 has been at 1800 regularly, and I have even seen him intruding at Gate recently. As for ♀♀715 + 716, They were last seen on 13, 14, + 15 April on Haystack Hill, each time in the Valley Oak along the fence-line near the summit of the Hill, by Alan, myself + Molly. Also, it seems that Y birds (by 18 April) have pretty much taken over the knoll. (See Alan's notes). So I would guess Knoll set abandoned about 10 April ± 1 week. 18 June ** GROUP UPDATE ** ① ♂564 did not disappear on 25 Feb 1982. Instead he returned to 1800 ~ 7 April 1982 ± 1 week ② ♀715 + ♀716 abandoned 7 April 1982 ± 1 week All these birds were seen here 1 April, ♀715+716 on 4 April, but the ♀♀ were 64 on the side of Haystack on 13-15 April, and ♂564 returned to 1800 ~ the same time (see Molly's notes)
