(26may) one of them, though I wasn't convinced of this.
The Lole, unfortunately, would be a real bitch to
get to, and at this stage of the game I'll let it
Slide: maybe next year.
Then on the return trip, I finally see a good
set of 2 granary trees right at the SW corner
of the reservation. The fence forms a little
triangle here, and there are two nice trees well
stocked with acorns. Though one of the trees has
some OK-looking roost holes, I suspect that the
nest here would be off the reservation. Nonetheless,
I shall dub this group Mars
12June 1400 I walk over here (with Janet, Joanne, + Mary
Peacock) and band two nestlings at Uranus,
Now Juvs. 802 + 803 The third
egg in that nest did not hatch. Uranus is now
absolutely OUT of acorns, so it is definitely not
one of the stellar groups on the reservation.
Also walked by Saturn, where I flushed a
few birds and found plenty of stored acorns,
but no sign of a second nest
