16-17 July Failed ambush attempt here at the old ambush
hole. Nobody roosted, even though 3 were flushed
from the hole on the night of 14 July.
26 July Walking by 1635, F see both J796 + J797 up around
the Al Golden Oak.
19 Aug Good watch here, 1630-1830. Quite sure that this
group now contains 2 ♀NB, 1 ♂NB, and the
two juveniles, J796 + J797. All 3 of the adults
were seen simultaneously at least two times. The
two adult ♀ were especially conspicuous, sapsucking from
a spindly Valley Oak at the head of the FA draw.
23 Aug ** GROUP UPDATE **

~ March ± 2 weeks
Three ♂NB here for sure 23 Feb, 2♂
only on 9 March, 1♂ on 9 April, and no evidence
of more than 1♂ on 21 April, 5 May, 11 May.
6 Sept Successful ambush here, catching a ♀NB and a ♂
NB (and Juv 797, probably in ♂ plunge).
The new birds are ♂834 and ♂835.
7 Dec Walk by, 1215, Este ♀834
whit-BLK/M , and
four other birds ([illegible]), so it looks like F/4
still has 5 birds. 1300, confirm ♀867 NB at
J♀796
