Munne Melanerpes fornicivorus Black Oak 12 Jan ** GROUP UPDATE ** ① ♂545, ♂624, ♂691 moved to Lambert 1 Nov 1981 ±1 week All were at Black Oak (except 624) on 22 October, but were "present" at Lambert on 10 November. ♂689 came originally, but he may be back at Black Oak. Further details are needed. 27 Jan Alan watched here today with little success. I took a sample of 50 acorns. ♂658 or Sobo intruding. 23 Feb Counted shorts, 10:30; Fallen limb 1680 Main area [illegible] 1985 2° area [illegible] 635 TOTAL 4300 While counting, in the 2° area Fsee ♂426 13/1/ or, unt-com/metal! Suppose plus a ♀ whose bands I read as it could be ♂320, but that I was pretty certain I saw it right. Will have to look here further. Also, I suppose that F could have blown the sex and seen ♂713 instead, but I thought it was ♀. Actually, the quick look F got of the left leg suggested yellow/131k-0-, meaning ♂713 10 March ** GROUP UPDATE ** ♂546, 689 moved to Lambert 1 March ±1 week Two ♂ seen participating in the Power Struggle at Lambert 20 Feb 1982. Both were missing 23 Feb, but present and looking like they belonged there on 9 March. ♀690 Not seen after banding, 810608 18 April Perhaps foolishly, trying to watch from the blind here at
