Missing 16 Sept, 1 Oct, and certainly gone by 6 + 16 Oct 1981. 19 Jan 1050, Showing Alan around, a quick look here. ♂486, ♀383, ♀269, ♂577 all seen very well. It looks like a bit of storing action may be going on here, still. End 1115. 23 Jan Granary census, 1040-1240, on back Good census! ♂486, ♀269, ♀383, ♂294, ♂578, ♂579, ♂580 all seen well, Only ♂577, who was here 19 Jan, and ♂672, who may well be kaput, not seen. Some storing, Still: 4 acorns stored in the 2 hours, 7 Feb Sample of ~ 35 acorns taken from the 1º granary and replaced with a roughly equivalent # of my own. 8 Feb Counted stores, 1300: Valley Oak 2000 Sycamore 1120 3120 TOTAL. 19 Feb Granary census 0855-1055. A very good watch here. colour /Blue-T (M) The big surprise proved to be seeing ♂672 Blue/Tail(M) who hadn't been around (not seen since late October, as a matter of fact). Only ♀578 missed: ♂486, ♂294, ♀269, ♀383, ♂577, 579, 580, 672 all see well. No storing, but a good bit of granary defense 21 Feb Another granary census, 1400-1600. Very slow. Warm + sunny at first, but overcast w/cool wind from 1520 on. Core 4, ♂579+580 only birds around. Whoops, ♀578, ♂577 late.
