Melanopipes formicivorus
Gate
20 May Roosting again, and again at 0730 a bird that I was
fairly sure had a metal band on the right leg
roosted, meaning 0626 roosted.
21 May Roosting: This time I watched from the other side
of the hole, and I'm fairly sure that I was able
to make out Light/Dark/Metal on the left, meaning
0627 roosted!

23 June Watching for juvenile dominance here, 091S.
0930, dominance! J791 Dorn-or in the top of
the granary, pecked hard on the head several times
by a Juvenile that I believe was J789 M/
(The juvenile dominant was definitely not J788
wht-lBlue/Blt-lBlue
m / lbt-lBlue, who was in view elsewhere.
9519, 9685 also seen, 0627 too.
1055 More dominance! 790 Red/m and 789
together w/adult on top of granary, 790 pecks hard at
789, 789 hitches under branch for 30sec. Then 789
moves to top of branch, and 790 pecks at 789 again.
Very good! Not a bad start, but still a lot to
be done. End 1105.
