Walter has reported birds in a hole in a VD near the head
of Dark Hollow canyon (see map on back). I come up
here at 1020 and find a ♂NB and a ♀NB hanging
out in the wooded areas North East of the head of dark hollow
canyon. No grarary up here that I can see. After
watching a while, it seems unlikely that these birds
have ties to Blom 2. Blom 3 is a possibility however.
1110, at Blom 2 proper, I can't find any birds
at all. Looks like it may not be occupied this fall, unless
somebody comes in soon.

May have to beat my words. Watching here 1530-1700.
After a 10-g wait, I finally see a ♂NB in the grarary
nest tree. Saw him store an acorn, and even briefly enter
the nest hole. Looks for real. Also thought I saw a ♀NB
here, but not certain.

Watching the "new" group described 29 Sept, and ♂ & NB
still here, in same area defending trees against Juv Intruders!
(probably Blom 1 Juvies). A real group with no grarary
(like known set)
