Left STENKVI Fiord at 10:30a
by TWIN OTTER MAN piloted
by Doug McLeod
Flew up main valley
to examine walls of Valley on
W side. Material has a
Carbonaceous look and is somewhat
similar to E.S.Fm but could
not be sure.
We took off heavily loaded and I
had to help the pilot rejack
lo shift some of the load
around. At the last moment the
wind shifted to a direct W
Litch and strengthened allowing
us a better takeoff than anticipated
Landed at White Bluff and set
up camp by about 3. Had a
time leisurely lunch on the
"Terrace" in our lower chairs.
