1981 R.L. Mumme Melanerpes formicivorus Fanny Arnold 2 Nov New developments here, 1100. ♀567 Red/Red m/" from A1 has definitely moved here, seen storing acorns with J706, Metal/Lb m·Dbrn. J705 Blue/Red-mnt also here, although not seen storing, but both junics appear to be in ♂plumage (not totally convinced). So we seem to have a 2♂ 1♀ group. This brings up the question of why ♀652 (apparently) abandoned? Was it the disappearance, presumed death of ♂651? That left her with 2 ♂ (?) offspring with which she could not mate. Maybe, but why didn't she try to attract a new ♂? I'll have to watch at UA2 to see if her efforts at gaining admission to that group were successful or not, Also good to note that ♀567 definitely had sisters available with which to disperse 10 Nov A quick look, ♂705, 706, ♀567 all here:
