1981 R.L. Mumme Journal Hastings Reservation (9 June) Shopping, then another photo session at 1500. 10 June Spent a lot of time watching at Plague, with some success. Washed clothes, cleaned, organized, banded the babies at 1800. Dinner at the bunkhouse. 11 June Good all-day nest watch at 1800; I had the last last shifts, again. In between, a quick look at Blomone and a nest check at Rd 3. 12 June Cold + windy. Bad start, but I find the new nest at Warp 5, which Walter & E open around noon. A return to Road 1 in the afternoon. Lots of good mail today, including first roll of 1500 photos. Dinner at Red House. 13 June Blom-one + Rd 1 in the morning, I watch the nest a bit at ARF 2, check the nest at Rd 3, started work on the egg toss paper, dinner in the Bunkhouse. 14 June Almost all day Egg-toss paperwork. Made it out of the cabin long enough to see some juvenile dominance at Plague and check the nest at Rd 3. 15 June Wastetime Short, a-productive watch for babies at School Hill, and a-productive watch at Rd 1, nest check at Rd 3, Swimminghole action, roosting at Gate 16 June Long watches at Rd 1, a Wilson's Phalarope excursion or Blomquist, and swimming. 17 June Boring watch at SHill, bading Warp 5, then 700th bird party + wild dance at the Cabin. 18 June Watched a bit at Blom-one early, worked on the egg-toss paper some, banded at Low Hay, Swimming. Then leave for Berkeley after dinner.
