19 July Watching for Juvs here 1300. Wow, I find J654 46k/m over on "the Flat" in the Big Valley Oak (30 meters east of granary, or POHill side of road). Looks like he's closing in on adult plumage. He still looks like a ♂ so it still may be too early, but his eye is getting quite light.
1500. Complete casus of adults and 1st brood Fledglings, plus new juvs 709 36k/m ad 710 66m/metal
Took me quite a while to track them down, but both were along the road close to Finch, in the area where the birds were a lot during 1979.
21 July Again, 0700-1000. 3 Juvs, 708, 709, +710 all seen, but again no sign of J707. I watched about an hour here yesterday, and didn't see him then either.
