(17 April) to the 2° granary as a tight pack early, But nothing
much happened. ♂184 & ♂68 mounted each other several
times (especially after the 9265 went into roost hole),
with no sign of aggression at all. One ♂ attempted
to mount the ♀, but there was a scuffle / jumble,
and no copulation took place.
18 April Nest check 1730. 3 eggs, the one laid today marked #3
and returned
21 April Nest check 1015 - 4 eggs bird in the hole as F arrived,
clutch complete. Egg measurements
① 25.8 x 19.8 2 first-2
② 25.5 x 20.0
③ 24.7 x 20.1 3rd (laid 18 April)
④ 25.2 x 19.7 4th (laid 19 or 20 April)
23 April Nest checked: 4 eggs, plus F introduced a plaster egg
( measurements, weight at right) at 1530.

25 April Checked nest here 1200. Plaster egg (not surprisingly) is
still here! Good. Removed it, introduced one dice (die)
into the nest. Still 4 good eggs. N=1
27 April Nest checked 1100. Still 4 eggs, plus one warm
die (♀ was in when I arrived). Good! They did
not throw out the die. N=1
1 May Byron reports Rd3 young have hatched by this
morning!
23 May Baded 3 very heavy young w/ Walter
31 May Here at 1710, thinking that I was going to be watching
for dominance interactions among the juveniles. It looks like
