Nest checks 0940-1010. Egg laid by 9269
25.2 X 19.4 were measurements. Mary reports
nothing at Valley Oak hole.
1040, on PO Hill, I search the anvil in the 1st granary
where I saw 9269 place this mornings tossed egg. No evidence,
but then 8580 manipulates a large piece of eggshell, then
eats (?) abit, End watch 1100.
Roosting. I find 9269 ad a 8 (486?) in the 1st
granary as I arrive. Later, another 8 shows up. Some
confusion, one 8 attempts to mount 9269, but the other 8 flies
down to the branch, and no copulation occurs. (As always, the
8 mounted the 8 first). After some more milling around, the
birds took off to the 2nd granary as a unit of 3.
Doesn't make much sense if 486 is still having exclusive
contact with the 8 during the day
