Only birds here, as ♂523 ad ♂604 Moved to Hay Blom ~ 10Aug ±1week, ♂307 must certainly be dead. Could his bad foot had have had anything to do with his disappearance? Anyway, say ♂307 disappeared on 10 July ±3 wcks. He was here on 14 June, but certainly gone by 3 Aug. However, check Mary's notes, as she watched up here around the first part of July, last of June, so she may have seen or not seen him then. End 1130. 20 Sept After watching at Hay Blom and not seeing ♂523, I watch here 1200 to see if ♂523 has returned here. 1230, I think she has!! Didn't see any bands, but I did see 3 birds here certainly, and I'm almost positive that I saw a ♀ here with a chipped bill. Would like to get her for sure. She has quite a history now. 5 Oct Watching here 1015-1140, yes ♂523 Dbl/efwrt/60/ve metal/ ♂524 metal/Dgrn-BPkt (N), ♂461 all here and storing acorns (Looks like douglasii, mostly, from Ravine+far tortuga area. I also got a fleeting glimpse of a bird that might have been ♂587 out, I need to look further. ** 6 Oct GROUP UPDATE: Purge ♂307. Last seen on nest watch by metal band Mary Peacock, 18 June. His leg was quite bad (see Mary's journal and nest watch notes). However, he was not seen for certain after the nest failed on about 20 June. Lots of possibilities: ① ♂307 could have
