Low Hay

0850, ♀424 looks into Blue Oak hole briefly as I'm about
to leave.
1 May
0600, a ♀ in the hole (1980) as I arrive! Uh-Oh.
Believe it was ♀523, as I think I saw ♀524 in the
broken tree with the other group members. At any rate,
the bird looking out had 2 small (double) mustaches, and
a small white flag at the right corner of her forehead.
I doubt eggs were laid, but you never know. 0615,
a bird here Karritting + garricking from the watch tree must
be ♀604 again
0830 Checked the '80 hole, nothing. ♀423 + ♀424
both looked into it while I was watching, but nobody entered.
0307 looked at the '79 nest, but did not enter. No action
at all in the Blue Oak hole. However, I saw lots
of flights over toward the roost hole, so I think I ought
to check that out.
Couple of points ① Birds seem to be pairing up.
♂461 is definitely following ♀524, and I think ♂307
is keeping tabs on ♀523. Will have to check that
out later. ② Still some aggressiveness displayed toward ♀523
by ♂461. Saw 2 instances, once over acorns. The
Second instance was at 0830, ♀524 looking into the '80 nest,
♀523 flies over, opening wakas, ♂461 then comes
over + pecks hard at ♀523 ~5 times, driving her away
from the hole. ♂307 also came over, but I'm not sure
what happened after that. ③ ♀604 (presumed) is
still around the periphery, garricking etc,
