1981 R.L. Mumme Journal Hastings Reservation- (27 Jan) the cabin all day. Nancy returns from Taff Mountain View-Berkeley. We watch it rain, I work some on Joste et al, fill out tax returns, etc. 28 Jan. Cabin fever. The rain lets up enough for me to fool around trying to quantify the madrone ad toyon crop on School Hill. Then more rain. A good 5-mile run with Marcela 29 Jan Rain all day, pretty much. Walter ad Edit the Arnold Road in the afternoon, Walter comes over for dinner, I talk with Cindy on the phone. A few snow flakes on the Arnold, but just rain down here 30 Jan A bit of snow here early in the Am, a fair amount on the Arnold, PO hill, upper Buckeye-Palo Escrito, ad lots on Chews Ridge. Big date with Nancy (dinner at wills), Hastings "old days" movies. 31 Jan A clear day, believe it or not. I wash clothes, do a census on School Hill, do bugs, read 9 paper, get ready for Berkeley. 1 Feb Berkeley, David Crisman, etc 5 Feb Return From Berkeley. Dinner at Rod House with Walter, 6 Feb Spend all day wandering around on the Arnold. Dinner at the Harays. Bill carman arrives for weekend. Movie, "Ulysses" at the CU library. 7 Feb Another day on the arnold, and I find a new group. Roasting at Road 1. 8 Feb Wet or windy all day, I collect bugs, and that's it. 9 Feb Nancy returns today. John Eurlin here visiting. dessert at the Davis. I do some toyon-madrone censusing.
