14-20 Jan Berkeley: Study list, candidacy, Electrophoresis's triumph with
the Plague birds, Census stuff with Pete, Good Old Persons
at Freight + Salvage, Lunch with Frank regarding Bill Carmen.
Return to Hastings 20 Jan, help Walter with ladders, good
dinner with Nancy, checked Pitfall traps.
21 Jan Watched a bit at Hay-Blow, weighed acorns, set ambush at
School Hill.
22 Jan Successful ambush at SHill, getting the blood of 886,
An Orange-crowned warbler by the Griffing, then R4TN! A
nice rain, starting about 1100 and continuing through the
night. I analysed acorn data. Dinner at Red House
with Walter, John + Steve.
23 Jan An off+on rainy day. I snuck a quick watch at Plague, talked
with Walter about the Q paper. "Here comes Mr. Jordan" at
the Carmel Valley Library with Walter + Pam.
24 Jan Partly
Cloudy, cool, windy, light rain in the evening. Rex
Merrill Steve Ruzin show up to take Gwiz's stuff
away in the afternoon. Nice dinner + chat with them.
Earlier I watched at 1500.
25 Jan Beautiful clear day. Censused the School Hill plot,
watched the School Hill woodpeckers, went for a little
run.
26 Jan Cloudy windy, misty all day. I waste a lot of
the day pounding around ARP and Warp 5, not getting
a look at any woodpeckers. "1941" at the Thardy's,
a pretty funny movie.
27 Jan Hard rain all day. I hardly set foot outside
