Upper Coulee Pit depth = 2'7" L 0-1" litter - 1-3½" humus (black) 3½-1" clay (brown) {streak of bl into 2"} occasional pieces ls. 1'-1'7" there is a new horizon. Crumpled pieces of ls intermixed with Reddish-brown clay + very weathered clay. Clay is yellowish-brown in top 3". to blocks Reddish-brown to bottom of this unit 1'7" to base of pit (2'7") there are crumbled pieces of ls in a light brownish-gray clay
