6-9-38 oblates than internodes. Blades 11-4 cm.. (they look short) (Base) culms crowded with dead ho - none short, one to 8 in long.) Blade smooth except for minute roughners (20x) on edges & on mid-rib beneath (can be felt). Branches & infl. capillary, rough, fld only bract tip & drooping. Lowest whrd consists of 2-5, usually 3, branches. All of P.D - (Bv B) would be spikelet x 2 3- adquate for our plant. A F n 3.5 mm., 2-fld. Scales scarious tipped with white. Glyynes acute 109 nerved. Lemma def, backed v boat- shaped. Palea same consistency as lemma, the 2 nerves very def., almost as long as lemma. Glume slightly rough on keels. Pedicels of spikelets (except if the one terminating branchlet) shorter than spikelet. Consider back poss. & P. viridula (see 6-17-38) 6-9-38 Poa pratensis L. G 156; Bv B I 256 Fl. in woods. (Studied with fine specimens near mailbox of 6-13-38) 6-11-38 Lychnis alba Mill G 384; Bv B II 68. Fl. &. Road- side northward. One fl. lead 6 styles instead of 5. Petals sometimes with small linear lobes at base of blade in add. to crown. St. red at base. Calyx finely hight; strongly marked with (fteen red- dial) veins. Corolla 1-1ΒΌ in diam [7-15-38 ov] & Roadside Konespot. & fls puzzling at first w/ Calyx
