7-26-38 Asters macrophyllus L.G 504; BvIII 411 Bud. Large colony at parking place, sterile and conspicuous for last 2 months. I saw very like those ? A.S.- but pubescent be- neath v much rougher above. Bud broadly ovoid v blunt (in A.S. beginning lanceolate v sharp-pointed then becoming cylindric. Uppermost part internodes v inflated with capitato glands. Ident seems sure even at this stage. 10-20-38 Related R. Raywhite. 7-26-38 Lycopodium lucidulum Michx G55; BvBI 44. Sp. At foot of tree n-e of limes just about or near the north boundary line bet. Kilwood & Twin Doors, or pass a little on the T-D side. I saw def in zones. Piped spores present as well as signs ? of pre cases on earlier growths. Gemmae present. I saw almost entire v not conspicuously broader above middle. This is 1st found on Kilwood. 7-26-38 Phryma leptostachya L.G 745; BvVIII 344 Fl. So side of kiln. (See 7-15-38) 7-26-38 Anaphalis margaritacea Bv H.G 822; BovIII 453 ? early fl.
