Calyx teeth, because + folded down middle, but some of them with bare broad enough to puzzle R.B. K as as whether "subulate" or "triangulars." Pubescence on "upper half" style not def. (20x). Style & stamens def. included. 4-8-39 Hyfatio Emoryi: Tour J879; M 453, F1., Ocotillo. Hairs plant branced. Stamens included in sac of corolla lip in bud very fl.; later free. 4-8-39 Beloperone californica Benth J954; M487 FL Ocotillo 4-8-39 Larrea tridentata Cov. var. glutinosa Teps. J604 = L. divaricata Cav. M 278 FL v.dv. fr. Ocotillo (See 12-21-38). Desc will (T) perfect except that style (20x) seems tipped with no more than 1 stigma and called ovary certainly has several ovules each (T vs M contrary). Scales at base of filaments as desc.
