1-28-39 Nama stenocarpum Gray T&J 32; M 45 Fl. Sweetwater Lake. Lvs crisped on margins, hairs hardly tiff? ("hisute"). Lvs v calyx lobes glandular on backs. Styles united almost to top. Stamens almost equal; filaments broadened v minutely toothed at point of insertion. Yellow disk at base of calyx lobes inside. (Mr G didn't know this.) 1-28-39 Mollugo verticillata L. T 341; M 153 Fl va br. #2. Sweetwater Lake. Sepals 3-nerved, whitew margined?, not "white inside" 1-28-39 ? Convolvulus occidentalis Gray var cyclo- atigius Teps T 776; M 387 Fl (only on spec.) Sweetwater Lake, dry bank. Corolla 28 mm long, pale pink, Stigmas rather thickly linear, 3mm long. Sepals 8-10mm. Bracts di- rectly under calyx but inconspicuous being only 2mm long x about 2.5mm wide. Bracts reddish, very ciliate at tip, distinctly spiculate, the mid-nerve ending in a tiny recurved projection. (Color of fl? size of bracts wrong acc to M) Largest fl about 13x13 mm, lobes being about 4mm wide. Lvs glabrous, grayish-green. St. slender stiff, angled, cambering. Sepals (at least some) ciliate. Lvs biolate rather than as de se vill (M), the basal lobes distinct from v of same width as middle lobe. Consider pos. I var. lenissimus Gray = var. angustissimus Gray. (Cee 5-14-39)
