6 capsule 6-29-39 Certainly general look much more like Tó ill #234 than like #239. Styles well exserted (1-1.5cm) T. (of J.x - "stigmae barely exserted"). Perianth certain- ly 4-5mm (M). Each of four plants has inflorescence equal to one of the main branches in Tó ill #234. 6-29-39 Scirpus Ólneyi Gray J154; M66; G191 Unique fr. with above. Involved 2-4cm but bracts scales v anthers ("with very short, blunt, minutely bearded tip" G) make ident sure. 6-29-39 Cryptantha micrómeras Greene J848; M428 Fr. Almost surely on clear parallel burn at foot J Poway Grade where Phacelia grandiflora found 5-10-39 (Note: the plant then ident as C. microstachys Greene was found at same place and may poss. have bee, this with only one - the odd, smooth - nutlet developing but R.B.K. thinks prob. not; esp. considering length of style.) Our plant exactly? desc. M. (To desc. inadeq.) Odd nutlet often smooth but sometimes as papillate as the other 3. In fr. (a.t.s. - deal ripe) all 4 nutlets not always found. [Perhaps some not developed, or some fallen] Odd not plainly axial. *except style slightly surpasses the consimilar nutletso v equals the odd one)
