Aplodappus seems only pro genus in M. and Ericameria or Isocoma acc to T. (Lo are resinous by lowle v smell v in some lights (20x) look even glandules punctate but by no means "conspicuously" so as disc. for E ricameria group. see T's desc. for I. v- -v- "somewhat glandular in dument" ). Our spec very like ill M) except flz entire. Beacts like ill M, the outer ones with "green acutik tips" (M); the inner ones thick yelowish v of husk. (certainly not def. "herbaceus"(T) Our plant look with straggling branches of perhaps 2 ft def. woody [7-27-39 Fl Blunt gt. T. Poss same species but 60.5 hrs. Truffy cottony v in fl. tracts not "glandular" but somewhat cottony at tip. Key leads to nothing else. (See 8-8-39 6-21-39 Amblyopappus pusillus N.VA. J/123; M566 Fl Fort glorin St. Surely same spec. as 4-4 & 4-80. R.B.T. concludes must be A. p - -. in spite of discrepancies.
