Mayhew 1962 Journal 23. May 18-20 San Jacinto Mts., Riverside Co., Calif. The following were kept for reproductive cycle data: Sceloporus occidentalis - 10 Sceloporus orcutti - 4 Sceloporus gracivus - 17 Uta stansburiana - 13 Xantusia henshawi - 7 Phrynosoma coronatum - 1 52 May 24 Palm Springs, Riverside Co., Calif. I left Riverside at 0710, and arrived at the collecting site on Vista Chino at 0815. I measured and released 26 Diposaurus dorsalis Walt Moberly had been using for experiments. The weather was still quite cool, but I began to look for lizards anyway. The first lizard (ad. ♀ Uta insignata) was seen at 0845. This was in Palm Springs Panorama. The wind increased in intensity as the morning progressed. It was blowing 15-20 mph. by mid-morning. There was no overcast, however. After touring the Panorama for several hours (dodging trucks hauling sand off the Panorama streets) I returned to Vista Chino. By 1230 I decided the wind was too much for me, so I started
