Mayhew 1962 Journal 21. May 13 Glamis area, Imperial Co., Calif. The reptiles collected were as follows: Diposaurus israelis - 9 (2 released) Phrynosoma m'celli - 14 live (13 kept) (5 DOR) Callicaudra draconides - 1 Uma notata - 18 live, 1 DOR (2 released) Uroscincus gracissso - 13 Crotaphytus wislizeni - 1 Chiroactis occipitalia - 1 (released) Coleonyx variegatus - 1 Sceloporus magister - 2 May 18-20 San Jacinto Mts., Riverside Co., Calif. The field zoology class left UCR at 1830 for the week-end. We drove through Bautista Canyon, southeast of Hemet to examine some chaparral habitat. The area contained numerous flowers in bloom. Then we drove to Anza, Mt. Center, & Idyllwild before reaching our campground at Fern Basin, north of Idyllwild. The night felt quite cool, but the temperature dropped to only 38°F. We looked for birds & lizards in this vicinity until afternoon, then drove to Black Mountain campground to the north. (Fern Basin is 6000 feet; Black Mt. 7600 feet above sea level). Snow was still on the ground in patches, so the air temperature was rather low. The
