We reached about 2000. We collected

We arose at 0630 and ate
breakfast, Then Walt Moberly took
part of the class north of the
road at our campsite while I
took the rest down to our
collecting area near Iron Age
Mine Road. We both collected
until about 1100, then ate lunch.
Later we drove up Gold Crown Mine
Road past Old Dale to look for
Sauromalus obesus and Cristophyta
collaris. Then we returned to UCR
via 29 Palms. We reached UCR
at 1810 after a trip of 381 miles.
