The sky was completely overcast, so I was sure whether any lizards would be out this morning or not. However, we began to see Uma scoparia within 10 minutes of our arrival in the area. Following this, we drove to a spot near Don Brenmell's cabin, 6 miles NE of 29 Palms, where we collected from 1500 to 1745. We spent the night at Indian Cove, just west of 29 Palms. No lizards could be found after this time, so we drove on to Lucerne Valley. After lunch, we searched for lizards throughout the region from Lucerne Valley to Hesperia without seeing any animals.
