Maynew 1963 Oct. 24 Journal UCR, Riverside Co., Calif. Today I received a copy of the flow record of the washes south of Glanis that Lloyd Tevis prepared as we were returning to Glanis the afternoon of Oct. 18. The records were made by referring to the bridge numbers where the Southern Pacific tracks crossed the washes. These numbers, incidentally, refer to the distance to S.P. head- quarters in San Francisco (Glanis is 698.20). The 5 washes nearest to Glanis had no flow. The records beyond, as far as we went, are: Bridge Remarks 699.22 good flow 699.56 very small amount of water 699.70 deep; some water; dunes near 699.89 small amount of water 700.11 very good flow 700.35 biggest flow of all 700.55 small amount of water : 700.75 good flow of water 701.01 some water Next 3 washes to the south had water, but we could not see the bridge numbers in the rain. We made no survey beyond that point. 47.
