Mayhew 1963 Journal 28. June 8 Glamis area, Imperial Co., Calif. 16 miles of pavement, that begins at the junction of the Glamis Road & the Blythe-Ogilly Road, has just been opened toward Blythe. The last 16 miles of dirt road is now being paved. We might collected all the way back to our campsite 8 miles west of Glamis, but found only 1 Coleovyx variegatus and 1 Hypsiglena torquata. June 9 We looked for P. m'calli between the canals from 0715 to 1045. We captured 9 live ones and saw 3 new DOR's. We returned to UCR at 1505 after a total trip of 500 miles. We captured the following animals on the trip: Uma inornata - 24 U. notata - 40 Phyrosoma m'calli - 46 Urosaurus gracillus - 3 Crotaphytus wisligeni - 3 Coleovyx variegatus - 9 Hypsiglena torquata - 1 Total - 126 We also saw 4 Crotalus cerastes. June 11 Mojave Desert, San Bernardino Co., Calif. David Reuther, Chisley Hill, James Allen & I left UCR at 0610. We collected Uma scoparia along the road near
