Mayhew 1963 Journal 27. June 7 Glamis area, Imperial Co., Calif. Valerie Ernst, Shirley Hill, David Reuther & I left UCR at 0625. We collected Uma inornata in Palm Springs Panorama from 0720 to 1120 on our way to Glamis. We captured 24 Uma and 1 Phrynosoma m'calli at this site. We reached the Highline Canal at 1345 and immediately began to look for P. m'calli along the road. The air temp. (1 meter) at this time was only 30.0°C. We looked for P. m'calli on one pass between the canals (from 1345 to 1545). We captured 9 live P. m'calli and saw 3 DOR's. Then we looked for Uma notata in the dunes from 1600 to 1815, we captured 40 of them and 3 Urosaurus gracilissimus. We might collected on the road between Glamis and the Highline Canal from 2000 to 2205 (26 miles). We collected 8 Coleonyx variegatus during this period. June 8 We looked for P. m'calli between the canals from 0730 to 1130, and from 1245 to 1805. We collected 27 live ones & found 2 DOR's that had been killed today and 2 that had been dead for some time. We drove out to the end of the new pavement east of Glamis this evening. An additional
