Mayhew 1963 Journal 26. May 26 Glamis area, Imperial Co., Calif. Trip covered 512 miles. The following animals were returned to UCR: Uma notata - 29 Phrynosoma micelli - 39 (+7 DOR) Callisaurus dorsalis - 1 Coleonyx variegatus - 19 Crotaphytus wislizeni - 2 Uta stansburiana - 2 Sceloporus graciosus - 4 (7 species) Total 96 We also saw 7 Chionactis occipitalis (1 was DOR) and 1 Crotalus cerastes on the trip. June 5 Barton Flats, San Bernardino Co., Calif. Dave Reuther, Shirley Hill, Herta Caylor & I left UCR at 0745 for a sample of Sceloporus graciosus. We looked for lizards at South Fork Campground from 0905 to 1120. During that period we captured 25 adult S. graciosus that we kept, and 7 immatures that we measured and released. We also captured 4 adult and 4 immature S. occidentalis during the same period. The weather was quite cool all the time we were in the mountains. The maximum temp. (air) I recorded today was 17.0° C (at 1320). We reached UCR at 1430 after a trip of 145 miles.
