1150. Found it: a new hole in one of the big Oaks down below
the granary.
1500. Opened it: empty. But a bird was in it again, so I'd say
they are going to use it. This hole is way up there...
26 April
1600. Checked the hole (noone init). Empty still. But
it looks real nice!
28 April
1500. Peeped the hole: still empty, best I could tell.
6 May
1430. Bird in hole. Finally! 6 eggs, not fresh.
8 May
1000. Still 6 eggs. Measured one: 26.1 x 19.2.
looked pretty early in incubation still.
9 June
1000. Banded & bled the 4 babies here.
5 Sept.
1400. Banded 4 (more) kids in an earlyish fall
nest. Kits are ~27 do, so est. LED is 29 July.
There are still acorns here.

Stores remaining here.
1999
13 April
1445. Power struggle! 8-10 birds with good
activity. Also lots of stores left and a Starling
in last year's nest hole!
Not sure what sex is at stake here.
19 April
1100. Cleared out a Starling nest from the '98 hole
(w/ 4 eggs). Still signs of a power struggle here.
6 July
Stores: looks like they're out. No! I take it back-
there are a few stores left here.
