Jim reports no activity at nest 36 I checked it: 3 dead babies + 1 unhatched, fertile eggs that had been pecked at & broken. The latter is the only potential evidence for infanticide, I fear, as the kits were intact. 1130. Watching with net up. (1) ♀ M/or-DB #2502 3 ♂♂ in Tree#2! (2) Red/or #2507 (3) ♀ DB-or/or-DB #2502 (?) ♀DB-or/or-DB also (3) ♀ LB/LG #2505 - 3 sisters from WGate here! #2471 here! In main tree: ♀ DB-wm(N)/DB #2330.(Sch Hill). Presumably some subset or all of the Schowl Hill helper ♀♀ (there are 7!) here winning. (2) ♂ or/M#2567 (SHill). 1210. Caught ♂ 2471 in net - bled w/in 5 min for Plasma and released. Jim's seen several more of the Sch Hill ♀♀. - 5 appear to have been seen (99 2210, 2330, 2555, 2556, #2567). 1230. ♂ in Tree2: 3 Red DBs ? ♂DB/Wh-Red #2471. 38 are mostly with the SH ♂♂ in Tree#1, coming to visit the WGate ♀♀ in Tree#2 occasionally. Still going well at 1245. 1315. 8 birds get together in tree#1: looks like 5 ♂♂ & 3 ♀♀, most likely the 5 Sch. Hill ♂♂ 26 May 930 Watching. All quiet. There are still stores here.
