1500. Opened the (2nd) (new) nesthole here (tagged #279).
4 babies, ♀ probably 1 do, + legs developed, but no sign
of pipping). The egg measured 26.8 x 19.7.
Band ~ 21 June.
Plenty of stores here, of course.
1999
30 April
1440. Checked the nest, which is in the hole (previously
opened) about 4' above #279. It has 4 normal eggs.
Two were measured (see Joey's notes). Even
though the granary has fallen here (!) there are
stores in the forest area (old nest tree by fuel line).
9 July
Stores: Yes! Even though the main granary is,
of course, gone (fell Nov '98).
