Measured one: 25.5 x 19.0 mm. 26 April 1300. None in the hole, but there are still 3 eggs and they look incubated. 3 May 1000. Eggs have hatched: 3 nestlings, 1-2 do. 11 May 900. Still 3 kids. Jim going to do a watch here. 16 May 915. Heard the kids here as I walked by. 24 May Banded and bled the 2 kids here this afternoon. There are still acorns left here! 1996 9 January 1545. Counted 102 stored acorns here, almost all in the main tree. (There are only a few in the limbs in the small valley over toward Keep Out.) 12 April 1430. No stores left here, best I can tell. The old nest hole in the big VO, and last year's nest hole, have fallen. 11 October A nest! With old babies, right next to last year's in a knothole. Banded 2 kids
