Banded & bled the 4 babies - all of whom are transplants (from the aviary...?) 18 July 945. Plenty of stores here still. 1995 24 May 140D. Checked the nice new hole over on Hastings that Joey opened last week, but still empty! Plenty of stores left here, however! 29 June 1440. Still stores here, & no sign of a nest. 1996 9 January 160D. The granary has a fair number of empty shells but not much in the way of intact acorns. My count came up with 75, which is probably not an overestimate. Are there even birds here? 12 April 143S. Out of stones here, for all practical purposes. 23 April 830. Pretty good power struggle! 10-15 birds involved; all of us are up here. Put up a net next to the granary.
