This group now has one of the largest facilities around! (1300 of those acorns were in the back of the main Keep Out tree). 7 April Quite a few stores left here. 12 May 930. Bird in new hole in burned live oak snag. Stores still here. 18 May 930. Finally got back to check the (new) hole: 5 eggs, incubated. 21 May 1530. Still 5 eggs (1 a nut?). 24 May 1115. Nest empty! No shells or anything in it. Yet another failure here. Still stores here, so it's certainly not that... 25 May 840.8" in a higher hole in the burned-out tree! Checked it: empty. Maybe they'll try again, however. 4 June 1400. None in the high hole. Looks like they've given up. 12 June 1200. Nope. Now in the high, opened hole: 4 eggs, incubated. 8 July Acorns remaining in granary. 1994 4 February 1100.
