Checked nest: 3 babies + 1 unhatched egg (#4 - which appears to have developed but not hatched). Wts: ① Mauve: 34.6 g ② Blk-Wht(N): 32.7 ③ XOBA: 39.6. Day 8-9! 25 May 1400. Banded & bled the 3 babies here! 7 July 1000. There are still a few acorns remaining here! 1995 25 April 1400. Flushed a bird from the area (there are stores) but no sign of a nest. 29 May 1600. Power struggle here: ① ♀ Or-At/M #2507 (Waate) ② ♀ M/Red-Blue #2502 (Wi) ③ ♂ R-W(N)/Mauve #2506 (Waate) ④ M/DB-Red ??, ⑤ ♀ M/MV #2502 ⑥ ♀ Or-LB/or #1998 ④ ♂ CB/Blk-BPk(N)#1608 Together The pair is here after all! Apparently an attempted coup by the Waate ♀. 13 June 1300. Nobody up here; none in the hole. Also, no stores remaining to speak of. 1996 3 January 1400. Counted stores: Main tree: 340 Snag to the West: 70 Fairly typical here, I believe. 11 January Ambushed the traditional hole here tonight, nabbing 3 birds.
