Bird in last year's hole. 2 eggs, fresh. Measured and collected 1 for hormones: 25.2 x 20.4 mm. One egg left. 17 May 1145. Checked the hole: only 2 eggs, only 1 of which is developed! Guess taking an egg ☐ wasn't a good idea after all. Might want to transplant it and let them try again. 21 May 1315. 1 baby, ~2 do. May transplant birds here if possible. But if not, band ~9 June. 1999 27 April 1200. Lots of stores; none in any holes. Checked the 1997 hole, though: empty, but in good shape. 28 April 1530. 6 2 birds in the 1997 hole, but still no egg. 12 May 1130. Bird flushed from the (old) low hole in Tree #1! Checked it: it's in good shape, but empty. 21 May 1330. Checked low hole: 2 fresh eggs! Measured & marked: ① 24.7 x 20.8 ② 24.9 x 20.2 26 May 1015. 4 eggs now. (2 marked, 2 not). Should hatch ~2 June. 9 June 1715. 2 babies, ~5 do (band 23 June) + 2 unhatched eggs, #1 and unmarked (③ 25.5 x 26.7 mm). Both undeveloped & removed. 20 July 1545. Bird in (other) hole! (#276). Checked it: empty, but in good shape. A few (but only a few) stores left.
