1997 1998 1999 Walter D Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus Stonberg H NTR 4 April 1100. Bird in a hole! Opened it: empty, but in good shape. 15 April 1330. 4 eggs. Ø 25.4 x 18.3 24 April 1330. Just hatching; set the ambusher up. 10 July 915. I looked around and only found 3 limbs in various places with storage holes, but they all still had acorns in them! Banded and bled the 2 kids in the 2nd nest. 1998 28 April 1330. Bird in (old) nest hole! 4 eggs, fairly fresh. Stores remaining? Yes. 11 May #1315. 3 babies, 4-5 days old, + 1 unhatched egg: 26.0 x 18.6. Band ~27 May. 29 May 1300. Banded the 3 babies (+ 1 transplant from Cavity). There are even some stores left in the other square. 1999 19 April Stores: Yes.
